About the project
24 Italian Arias TLV

Alessandro Parisotti is an Italian composer known as the original editor of the 24 Italian Arias collection. In the 19th century he was discovering forgotten old music from the classical and baroque eras. Since then many singing students as well as stars such as Pavarotti have given their own interpretations to those beloved Italian songs.

Anat wrote to these Arias original text in Hebrew. Her text is a collection of prayers.

In the texts she pleads god to fix his world, she tries to awake his attention to remove corruptions and wrong morals.

In the Aria ‘Caro Mio Ben’ she herself admits her falses, how stubborn she was repressing him from her daily life. In the Aria ‘Che Fiero Costume’ her words are in an art of prophesy and warning to the people of the world and in the Aria ‘Il Mio Bel Foco’ she asked god not to forget that they burnt his Tora scrolls in the times of world war II.

As in many creative processes of Anat, but this time even more, the writings came as a flood. Within less then an hour 11 texts were completed. They needed almost no corrections. Those text were surprisingly echoing with the composer’s understanding of his own music. Soon after finishing working on the project humans found themselves dealing with the Covid19 Virus.
